Mike occasionally receives mail from readers querying his fees and charges for investigations.
Inevitably the misunderstandings are the result of readers not taking the time to read the
information on this page carefully. Mike does NOT normally charge members of the public
for investigations. The fees are usually levied when he is asked to carry out investigations for
companies, organisations and statutory /non-statutory bodies. Like others who provide a
service, Mike has a right to be paid. Sometimes correspondents argue that Mike and his
colleagues should pay them for the privilege of investigating the location in question. Do
plumbers normally pay you for the privilege of fixing your leaky pipes...?
Mike regularly carries out investigations at locations where paranormal phenomena are alleged to be occurring. For members
of the public there is not normally a charge for the investigation itself, but it may be necessary to charge for travel and other
out-of-pocket expenses.
mikehallowell.com reserves the right to charge members of the public for investigations if they deem it necessary or
appropriate. Investigations carried out for the media and other organisations are usually chargeable.
