






Mike Hallowell

Mike Hallowell was born in South Shields, England, in May 1957. He has been married to his wife Jackie for over 30 years, and has three sons, two grandsons and one granddaughter.
Mike was born in England to English parents, but has Native American heritage on the paternal side of his family. He takes the spiritual and cultural side of this heritage very seriously.
Mike has spent decades in the media business. He has written over a dozen books and
had over 1,000 features, columns, and articles published. He currently runs several
columns in newspapers and magazines, as well as a number of on-
Mike regularly appears on TV and radio. He has starred in a number of documentaries and TV series both inthe UK and abroad.
As well as writing books and articles, and appearing before the cameras, Mike has penned scripts for plays, stage plays and documentaries. He has also released a number of acclaimed CDs of traditional Native American music.
Mike is recognised as one of the UK’s leading experts on paranormal phenomena and the supernatural, and is regularly called upon by media organisations for his
expertise. In 2008 he co-
book, The South Shields Poltergeist with his friend
and colleague, Darren W. Ritson.
Mike is a regular speaker at conferences such as The
Weird Weekend, the LAPIS Conference and the
Fortean Times UnCon.
