popular mediums - the
well-known and respected
Colin Fry...

There's been a veritable explosion of TV programmes on the paranormal recently, and
growing number of series devoted to the work of Britain's professional mediums.
Some of Mike’s happiest memories whilst penning this column have been the interviews
he’s conducted with the leading lights in the field of spiritual development. Recently, he had
the privilege of talking to Colin Fry, one of the country's best-known mediums.
Colin was born in 1962 and turned professional at the tender age of 17. Since then he
has awed audiences at home and abroad with his incredible spiritual talents.
Most readers will know Colin as the star of the TV show 6ixth Sense, which is still aired
regularly on Living TV.  What many people don't know is that Colin is also the Principal of
the Rambsbergsgarten International College of Spiritual Science in Sweden.
What Mike likes about Colin Fry is his humility. He never tries to impress, and his shows
contain little in the way of bells and whistles. He simply walks onto the stage and speaks
from the heart. The messages he gives out from those who have "passed over" have
brought comfort to thousands.
In 1850, Colin's great-grandmother was actually arrested for reading tea leaves. This
prompted Mike to ask him whether the spiritual gifts he possesses were something of a
family tradition.
"Not really", he answered. "My mother never discouraged or actively encouraged me,
for instance. However, I knew from an early age that I was able to contact spirit."
More than a few celebrity mediums have come a cropper by upsetting those they read
for, and Colin acknowledges this.
"Working with mediumship carries a huge responsibility. Mediums need to remember
that they are dealing with the most fragile of human emotions.
"I honestly believe that working mediums should receive training in social responsibility
and counselling skills."
Mike asked Colin what he thought about those who overly-dramatise mediumship just
for effect.
"Look, I often say that we need to put the 'normal' back into 'paranormal'. I like to make
my evenings entertaining, but I don't want them to be seen as entertainment, if you
understand."
Colin Fry's gentle, self-effacing approach to his mission in life is refreshing, but he is
a man with his eye set very much on the future.
Colin is recently worked on a new TV series which premiered on the Zone Reality
channel on December 18, 2006. Psychic Private Eyes investigates baffling murders and
disappearances.
Colin, along with fellow mediums Tony Stockwell and T. J. Higgs, attempt to solve these
mysteries by using their spiritual gifts and psychic senses. It’s proved to be riveting stuff.
A WraithScape reader once wrote to Mike and told him that she'd met Colin Fry some
years ago. What passed between this lady and Colin is private, and she quite rightly didn't
want to divulge it. However, she told Mike that he said something relating to her
grandmother which changed her life.
"He told me things that only my grandmother could have known and he put my mind at
rest about something which had been troubling me greatly."
And that's what Colin Fry does best. His gentle, kind approach as he puts loved ones
in touch with their deceased relatives has made him one of the most popular mediums
around. Scores would testify that he's also one of the most accurate.
